SHOT BOII - 2.58 Hereford

Can't see much evidence for the majority of the field liking the predicted Soft ground here. One who should ( hat-trick on Soft ground nov/dec 2022 ) is Shot Boii. He looks a dour stayer, and hasn't had the ground to suit in 2 runs thus far this season.

Has drifted in price throughout this morning, which is a worry, but looks overpriced at 7/1 here with conditions in his favour

Good Luck

Redundant Punter was the best tipster on here by a mile but IDKW might be the new one.

Very good he was indeed Hayden. I think RP the horse was the last winner I picked lol!

.... When would that be Hayden when RP the horse was running? Was it last Century? He was a decent handicapper if my memory serves me well.

Crikey Mac we'd need Ged or Onlooker for that one , i've no reference books left these day.

Only mention i can find is this passage referring to a Kim Muir win in 1979.....

Previously he had Pegwell Bay pulled up when a 25/1-shot in 1989 and the novice Drumadowney fourth in 1985. Given his good overall record with chasers, his record at the Festival is a bit disappointing too. Maamur was his first winner there since 1979 when Casbah won the Grand Annual and Redundant Punter the Kim Muir. There had been six seconds in the interim, including Dublin Flyer's two in the Mildmay of Flete.

Thanks for the info Hayden! scary to think that RP was running over 40 years ago!

Same here, I got rid of all my old form books. There were plenty about back in the day. Apart from the obvious ones, there were, e.g. the Haig Annual, Copes, Tote Annual, Sean Graham Yearbook, Junior Ratings or something like that, etc. And a lot more. One can`t give away the old Timeform annuals now. Many sell on Ebay for about a fiver. It`s a shame that.

Yes Mac same here , i've got half a dozed Timeform Jumps Annuals left in mint condition from early nineties and i can't even give them away , asked on here but no takers for free.

Horse racing popularity a pale shadow of how we knew it to be sadly  Sad

Yes, very sad Hayden. I donated mine to the local Hospice. Seemingly, a woman bought them to cut up and use for Arts & Crafts. Cry
