Watching a fairly left wing guy take down the woke crowd in his latest stand up is great to see. Wan ky woke people are not the real left, just a bunch of to ssers

A below par Ricky Gervais was some compensation for havng to swerve The Big Fat Quiz on Ch4 which I'd been  half looking forward to, only to find that they had sacrificed it to shoehorn Rosie Jones onto yet another panel. I cant suffer the embarrasment of patronising laughter when she eventually delivers an unfunny punchline that inevitably will either be about being a lesb*ian, being disabled, or both, that only a handful of people can actually decipher anyway.
When will they stop trying to put square pegs into round holes just to appease their preachy sham sympathies.
By most accounts she's a half decent comedy writer, if that's her talent she should stick to it. It's not hard to understand, a square peg in a square hole.
At least Ricky Gervais' cringefest is part of the joke.
At this point I'm supposed to excuse myself and say "I'm all for diversity and equal opportunities, but...." But the world is spinning off it's axle.

I quite liked Ricky’s new show. He’s great at poking fun at people.

I can’t watch most comedians these days. The black ones are the worst. They just can’t do a set without telling some kind of self deprecating race joke.

Beat and funniest Black comedian out there is Ian Irvine, he's act is from the 70/80s.
Seen him a few times at corporate gigs, so funny that they won't have him on tele as he's not woke enough.
Look him up on youtube. A lovely guy as well, had the pleasure of chatting to him a few times.

Self deprecation always has the potential to be funny, but when it's about race, disablity or gender, it plays into the hands of those who would drive wedges between people. Self deprecation that plays to the insecurities that we all experience is funny, no agenda, and the joke is accessible to anybody.

I did like The ")Office" when it first was aired twenty odd years ago but his stand up shows leave me literally stone cold. I wouldn't go if it was on down the road and free to get in.

I know what would happen, I'd be there scratching my noggin wondering why people were laughing like drains with me sat there stoney faced.
