Melbourne Cup?

This horse was touted as the good thing at 2023 Cheltenham but got turned over fairly and squarely. He won his 1st race this season comfortably and as such, installed fav for The Arkle infront of his conqueror Marine Nationale.
He'd every chance today (ok a different jockey) but was comprehensively beaten. It's back to the drawing board for Mr Mullins. Something else from Closutton stable has to step into his shoe for The Arkle. |

A slight improvement on his debut in the jumping department.
I thought he looked awful on debut. Still spends a long time in the air still. A step up in trip I would imagine, but one to oppose as will often be much shorter than he deserves to be. |

Ground ?? Dissapointed on track @ Dublin Racing Festival on yielding before bouncing back to more like himself in the SUpreme (soft).

Went out like a light....Very very disappointing i would not touch this Nag with a barge pole after that.

Townend rode him like a sprinter in the Dublin Festival, and got a public rollicking from Mr Mullins. In The Supreme he was just not good enough; yesterday was very disappointing unless something amiss came to light over the next few days. Until one to overlook over 2m; 2.5m or 3m could be his trip eg Turners Chase or Brown Windsor perhaps.

Wouldn't be a surprise. Champion Bumper winners tend to be stayers (despite always being installed as favourite for the Supreme).

Mullings targets one meeting so why would he have them fit as a fiddle for these meetings
