Nothing shrewd about it. I thought that Mighty Bandit was a good thing today and I almost backed it despite the drift. Fortunately good sense prevailed.
The lowest jack Kennedy has rode at in the last 12 months is 10.5 so perhaps the easier option was riding a horse who had won a maiden at punchestown rather than a horse 7lb better of with the horse who beat him 1/2 length in a grade 3 at fairyhouse a race which in recent years has produced a champion hurdle winner and a triumph hurdle winner.
