Mick Fitzgerald's book, few years old but looks a good read. We only buy little things for each other, I am lucky, my brother's wife expects expensive presents. They bought each other 5k and 7k watches.

The most boring Day of the Year since i gave up drinking.

'Bille' allowed me to win £8.35 this morning on their free bingo game this morning (yesterday was 2p). I'd several mega wins and one big win, totally a measly £8.35p; the promotion stake could have been 1p per spin = total 5p free spins.

Grateful (for any bit of crumbs from a bookie) nevertheless, pathetic.

For some reason the missus always seems to build up Christmas day like it's some kind of massive event that she loves, but in reality actually she can't really stand it, and I'm not really bothered about it, other than plenty drink and food, and a few smaller prezzies we enjoy together - e.g. films we both like.

Much prefer Boxing day - sport returns and insanity ends.
