8. Ludlow, though I think they might have moved it (first fence in the straight), so it's no longer trappy.
9. Was John Thorne 56 when he rode Spartan Missile? |
|
By:
John Thorne was - 54 - when he rode Spartan Missile to be 2nd in the Grand National
Peter O'Sullevan - famously said in commentary, when the horses were on the Run-In ... "It's Aldaniti from Spartan Missile and 54-year-old John Thorne" |

What a great set of questions Eddie I’m sorry I missed taking part I wouldn’t have got close to 3,7,8,14,without looking it up.
Favourite question was 16 will always be my favourite jockey and remember seeing micholozzo make his debut at Nottingham where he returned a big price beating a hot pot from the same yard despite a lot of clever money for him,the days before exchanges affected many touches. |

Thanks
jimnast -glad you liked the questions -I think there is only 1 question that hasn't been answered correctly. Geoff M -I was a big fan of Cash -he was very charismatic -was an awful man for getting beaten on short priced favourites. |

Cacique -Big Money Mike Smith is correct -amazing when you think about it.
Geoff -I think Bluebird won a Kings Stand and then developed a habit of missing the break -1988 was the year. |
