Cheers Ashleigh....been flicking through recordings of last couple of days racing and yesterdays racing replay and no bother but todays racing has been nothing but bother...
Might have something to do with the fact i watch all my tv through the mini box and not the main SKYQ box yet it's been that way for over a year and i've never encountered this problem before ..... ![]() |

No, but had enormous trouble logging in on laptop ysdy, eventually after the third attempt at speaking to a barely understandable woman in Asia by the sound of her (used to be well spoken English gent, all good things come to an end) finally logged me in from their end and ok tdy.

I often encounter pause/rewind issues with RTV both through main SKY box but more often with the miniboxes. Sometimes a rewind cannot be paused so i have to turn off at the mains. Infuriating, God knows why only that channel?
|
|
By:
It's the only channel that gets knocked out by a bit of rain on the satellite dish too, if there is anyone left who doesn't know, you will still get it on channel 877 if that happens.

I've had the same issue as grayhawk today. Had to switch to recording the SD channel on sky (877) to enable rewinding, f/fwd etc

Cheers Lemon...at least i now know my SKY is not the problem and it's a RTV issue.

Anyone else experiencing this problem or is it just lemon and me....it's doing my napper in
![]() Strange that it only happens on the HD channel ![]() |

Yes, I've had it all through Christmas.

Did it start on the 20th Strontium?......
Infuriating trying to study replays if races...if it doesn't sort itself out in the next couple of weeks i'm gonna ring up to query why its happening. |

Have a feeling they'll say it's an issue my end when obviously it's not if happening to others.

No problems at all here, but here's what solves this sort of thing on an old Sky plus box like mine. You basically want to do the equivalent of a clean-up and defrag. Get rid of stuff you don't need on the disk, then re-order what is left. I don't know how it works on SkyQ, but on the old boxes, first go to your Planner, toggle right to Deleted, then delete everything listed there there. You don't need this deleted stuff still sitting there on your disk. Next go to Services - Help - Sky Plus Rebuild and let that do its stuff. If that doesn't do the trick, then try the old on/off at the mains thing, and this time the re-boot should work.
The problem is that I have no idea what the equivalent buttons to press are on SkyQ. |

Sorry Grayhawk, not sure when it started. First noticed it on Boxing Day.

Cheers for that Screaming... unfortunately i can't find the SKY Q rebuild equivalent and have tried everything else to no avail

Just a thought: if your one of your problems is viewing recordings through a minibox, perhaps those recordings were made when the box was in standby mode, and your main box and mini box may be in different standby modes. I think it's Settings - Set up - Preferences, and you'll see Eco, Active and None. Make sure they're the same on both boxes (Eco presumably).
I hope this is right. A neighbour was getting exasperated with their Q Box (I can't recall what the fault was), but this seemed to fix it. |

Ta..it's not just recordings it's live viewing as well.
I view everything om my mini box and it's set to eco...no idea what my main box is because i only use it to receive the signal - it's in the spare room and not connected to a TV. |
