Over 16k went missing from a betting account this morning. Been in contact with "Live Chat" all day but still no answers, no details and no phone Fraud-Security  number to ring, and been refused a call. Absolutely appalling. "Wait for an email". Be better off ringing the police.

With his tipping it's long odds he's got £16 in far less 16K..

Calvin has openly said that he has no problem handing over sensitive info for the checks and whilst you can't categorically link it with this situation it does at least raise the possibility.

For a number of reasons, I'm finding it hard to believe he had £16k in a betting account. Anybody else?

obv - he was just using his ability to generate publicity to persaude the company to refund him. No interest whatsoever in the security of average punters, who don't have such a weapon.

Why would anyone leave £16k with a bookie? The bookie is not governed by FCA and neither is any of their personnel. Also, a booie can willy-nilly frustrate or deny access or even confiscate one's money merely citing id verification, money-laundering, etc. And, all these sharp practices are within their terms and conditions.

Stupid and crazy I say.

If you look for opportunities on unmanaged markets after midnight you'll always need as much as financially possible.

Amazing the goodies that can be unwrapped.

Leaving 16k in there is risky enough, leave it in there presumably without 2 step authentication is plain bonkers.

Surely with any degree of commonsense you would "lock it up" with a cheltenham ante post lay bet @1.01 so it cant/wont be taken.  80% of mine is.

How does that help geoff?  If your account is compromised all the attacker has to is cancel the (I'm presuming unmatched) bet and then help himself to the money?

2FA is absolutely vital, imo.

it is an academic exercise, but someone who gains access to an account would be likely to just look at the balance and not delve into bet history.

Careful. If you have a bad day or a bad run, the algorithm is going to look at that ante post offer and decide that you've committed 80% of your bank to chasing your losses. It's why I wouldn't do that.

no

So my opinion that it's risky to insult employees of a forum isn't acceptable, but his potential libel is ok?
