Which race will that be ?
They think it has to go left handed. |
|
By:
Ryanair innit.

Nothing unusual about it though acey. I put up a thread a few weeks ago for anyone doing the Ten To Follow or similar after reading about stats of the top races at the Festival and being surprised how many winners had only a couple of runs prior, had not noticed until reading in the RP.

If it has to be left-handed, then one of the 2 1/2 m handicaps at Cheltenham on NYD of trials day. Otherwise, the Silvianaco Conti chase at Kempton in Jan.

By:
Thanks stront, the kempton race looks the most likely.

Is Kempton now left handed?
|
|

I forgot about that
![]() I was picturing sandown. |

I have lost the plot, sandown is right handed too.

It does leave them with a dilemma. The conditions races over the trip in the suitable time window all seem to be on right-handed tracks. Nicholls has used those Grade 3 Cheltenham handicaps before to prep his Ryanair horses - Poquelin springs to mind, though that will have been some time ago. Still, Stage Star is so good going from the front on the New Course, they may well go down that route. |

Game spirit it is then

Yes, could be.

A lot will depend on how he recovers from yesterday. Paul did not rule out a spin over 3 miles before the Ryanair.
|
|
By:
There's a fair chance he won't run at all. He already has a history of running well fresh, but not finishing his season off. Very few horses have the constitution to go from the front in competitive races time and time again.
|
|
By:
Why is it an absolute joke?
|
|
By:
I can only assume that acey thinks that horses should run at least once a month and preferably more often and that talk about horse welfare is a poor excuse for not doing so.

planning a season around beating allaho amongst others in ryanair seems like a decent plan

Banker in my Ten To Follow he aint gonna earn no points at home.

More chance of me running in it.

He does like to send one over once in a while i think it will run.

Fleur de lys chase Lingfield January £165 k. Ground a lot better there since new drainage
|
|
By:
Will run in the handicap at Cheltenham on New Years Day.

Good.

He could hardly have had a bigger boost than the December race when Fugitiv beat Il Ridoto. Easy to rate Stage Star at 170 now which would win most Ryanairs but the official handicapper has 166.

He does look a bit of a Good Thing sage.
