only reason i can come up with is that they are hoping for a fat finger fk up...?

i swear there were two huge outsiders in the Dundalk 1:50 that had very nearly £1million at 1.01 pre-race...

i mean what on earth is that all about ?

and obviously they don't leave it there when it goes in-play.

back in the day you'd get someone laying everything at 1.02 the night before but i think even he's realised he was completely wasting his time

If you stick £1m up at 1.01 you can lift the market into
the where the money is list.

So may be the intention of the layers,...

Used to be a thing 10 years ago, dunno if it still
is.

Obviously cancelled when turned in play.

Are You In Or Out currently has over 400k sat there at 1.01...

what's the point ?

i mean you need the patience of a million saints to play that game.

surely a seed is there for a purpose tho 11kv...

at least be realistic...

hundreds of thousands at 1.01 is just pure pointless imv...

i mean you will only notice it if you actually dig deeper...

i just don't get it at all tbh.

I'm sure a fair bit stays there in-play and they're first in the queue. I thought that was the main reason as much as a fat finger FU

when it turns in play 400k turns in to 2k swifty.

Barry Orr, Betfair’s head of horseracing PR, said: “Betfair customer funds are fully ring-fenced and legally protected. Under the Gambling Commission assessment model, they are considered to have high protection, which is the top classification.

“In the extremely unlikely event of the company going bankrupt, these funds cannot be used to discharge company liabilities and would be returned to customers without delay.

and why does Eagles Realm (odds on shot) only have 165k sat there at 1.01...?

surely there is more chance of a fat finger fk up on an odds on shot ?

Used to happen a lot with the Ice Hockey NHL at one time especially when the clocks went back an hour a week after America , BOT's weren't reset and you could get free money.

Nicked £2,800 one Saturday night in Canada evening as it's so called for zero risk and able to back teams at say 1.31 being 4 goals ahead with only 2 mins to go , plenty of other free money nights as well when pre-game stuff was never cancelled.

Happy days but not for someone else obviously , dog eat dog in the exchange game though.

surprised Betfair let you keep it tbh Hayden...

i wouldn't feel guilty about it myself but you'd have thought the losers would've complained...

mind you they were probably tucked up in bed and their BOTs were looking after their cash and they were none the wiser.

Trust me ladycarla it wasn't a one off night  Happy

Never a problem Hibby as it was never retrieved , if people can't algorithm their own BOT correctly without creating a bug then that's unlucky them i'm afraid.

If you're a night owl and have patience then there's loads of it about throughout the nights in the unmanaged markets , mostly human error but insist on blaming their BOT's , but also plenty of punters do insist on playing the exchanges after closing time.

I put a 1.01 large lay bet on the golf one year on freddy jacobson
as betfair refused to put the open into their popular markets.

It got a mention in racing post as they wished me good luck
getting it matched, somewhat sarcastically.

And golf was returned to popular markets.
