unbeaten Arc winner 40 x £250,000 x 20years = 200 mill

beaten   Arc winner 40 x £100,000 x 20years = 80 mill

Just the way it is , how lucky we were so see Frankel as a 4yo

horses only get massive stud fees for 20 years if their offspring are good.

he will get good fees for the first 3 years based on his reputation but after that, who knows.

Well he never ran at two and never ran over less than a mile and a quarter. Not the most commercial profile. He is by a very average stallion (so far), from a good but nothing special family and has significant temperament issues. His RPR for winning the Arc was 129, very good but not so special. I doubt he will ever command a £250k fee (probably £50ish next year) but he will get a good book next year and they have probably done the right thing in striking while the iron's hot. Doomed to fail imo.
Report cacique October 12, 2023 8:32 PM BST
can't see him being 250k to start with.
Nor can I see him making much of an impact outside of France.

Le Harve had a similar-ish profile, good horse not a great pedigree at a smaller stud. and he didn't set the world alight.

I think your figures are miles out, Swifty.

But can understand them retiring him, and having a go.

The bargain-hunting breeders who bought Ace Impact's only sister for €10,000

Adlon Rose, a six-year-old daughter of Nathaniel, might have won only once from 14 starts – in a minor middle-distance contest at Machecoul in western France, at that – and she might have been sold for a mere €10,000 at the end of her racing career, but her value has skyrocketed this season.

The reason she is now worth many multiples of that price, which she realised at the Arqana December Breeding Stock Sale two years ago, is that she is the only female sibling of Sunday’s impressive Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Ace Impact among the seven foals produced by their dam, the Listed-placed Anabaa Blue mare Absolutly Me.

It's horse racings biggest flaw. Imagine Real Madrid never playing Barcelona or Bellingham retiring this year.

Ace Impact is a gold mine. He's better than any pension pot. I'd not run him either if he was mine. If Auguste Rodin turn out to be another Galileo (at stud), Ace Impact could be (Frankel and Dancing Brave) in one; a horse in one's lifetime.
Report geoff m October 13, 2023 6:41 PM BST
Dancing Brave was a complete flop @ stud tho impossible.
Report CagliariG October 13, 2023 6:47 PM BST
Have Frankel and Sea The Stars been megastars at stud to date?

Progeny running in Selling Hurdles etc, not many become long term influences, like impossible as credible imvho?
Report impossible123 October 13, 2023 6:47 PM BST
'geoff m', is that so regards Dancing Brave. I hope Ace Impact is much better; Ace Impact did a faster time than Dancing Brave in the last 2f (apparently).
Report geoff m October 13, 2023 6:51 PM BST
Only decent hoss he had  i can recall was Commander In Chief. Think he had fertility issues and was whisked off to Japan.
Report truehoncho October 13, 2023 6:53 PM BST
I don't know about a gold mine. He'll make money the first couple of years but after that I doubt it.
Report geoff m October 13, 2023 6:56 PM BST
Frankel 10 classic winners 32 group 1 winners to date. Not sure how that compares to Galileo & Dubawi @ same stage of their respective careers.

Could be wrong but Chapple Hyam trained a decent horse by Dancing Brave.
No world beater, can't remember the name atm.Was ridden by a Japanese jockey
a few times.Don't think Chapple Hyam was too impressed with him seem to
remember.

ace impact could run in the english champion stakes, the breeders cup turf, the japan cup or in hong kong. singspiel and pilsudski won the japan cup. as did falbrav.

i cant understand why ace impact wont run in some of these races. its patethic. just like with baeed who after the juddemont in august only ran in the english champion stakes. racing authorities put on these big races to get the best to turn out but they only ever really turn out for the arc.

the breeders cup turf and english champion stakes dont get the top horses anymore. its really dissapointing. i dont want to listen to this nonsense about what a great campaign he has had. he has only run in 2 group 1's. its just so boring. what it would do for flat racing to see him run in the breeders cup turf and japan cup. another couple of runs for 2 minutes 24 seconds isnt going to put him in the nursery home.

the media could whip up a bit of pressure here but they dont want to have a go at connections because they want interviews and horses cant talk.

White Muzzle was the Chapple Hyam horse

WEMYSS BIGHT was an oaks winner and Cherokee Rose wasn't too bad

White Muzzle, that's the horse.Name wouldn't come to me.
Cheers.
Report differentdrum October 14, 2023 10:55 AM BST
Just heard the french racing 'expert' say the horse 'had nothing more to prove'. That must be one of the idiot statements of year. So trying to beat both older horses and another generation now means nothing? If that is true what a pathetic state the sport is in.
