Now why would they do that, when it seems the breaking of this 'news' coincides with a TV series the Beckhams are promoting on Netflix and smacks of maximising publicity for it (imo)?

They were essentially highlighting a series on a supposedly rival media outlet.

So here's my analysis, and as I won't be watching it, someone will have to let me know if I'm right or if I'm right...There will be some political agenda being pushed in that series, climate change would head the betting.

And btw, on the main 'news' about Willoughby, they got Downing Street to make a comment, just like they did when they were demonizing Russell Brand.
