Thanks Pat, sadly not. Lost use of left leg due to diabetes. But, was on my way to photoshoot for disaabled modelling & acting agency when we went past that street sign. If I can make something out of it I will definitely try!

Sorry to hear this Dave, all the best

He hosted a RTV members day at Redcar earlier this year and was having to walk with a stick -I never knew diabetes could do this to you . Hopefully it can be turned round .

Manoleeds, Diabetes can be very dangerous for your feet, once you are diagnosed you get free chiropody and help with diet advice. The older I get the more I try to eat well and not drink much to avoid it.

Anyone got the Buzzcocks clip?

I'll tell you what would be the ideal role for Dave...If only they could revive Big Deal with Nevo playing Robbie Box.

A gambler down on his luck. And to bring it into the modern era, the plot could revolve around his efforts to win enough money to undergo gender reassignment surgery.

They could even give Rico a part as a geordie hard man operating as a thriving black market bookie who is owed money by Box, after he had been banned from betting with the books owing to single customer view / affordability checks.

Once I've finished the whole script, might send it to the BBC, see what they think.

Nice idea George, though sadly in these current climes a series about a gambler would be like putting on a series about a kiddy-fiddler for the general public! Cry

We used to be the cool ones (e.g. James Bond gambling in casinos), now we're regarded as somewhat a dirty subject!
