Did Kauto Star or Desert Orchid ever run at Folkestone, let alone Arkle or Captain Christy.

A winters night all weather meeting at Kempton is awful, more atmosphere on the moon.

100 there at the most last time I went.

Something wrong about the place.

If you don't like it, then don't bother with it.

What's wrong with Kempton is that the AW track is inside the turf track and therefore, like Lingfield,

distanced from the spectators resulting in a disconnect and a complete lack of a sense of live racing.

I'm not against AW racing,by the way. I've always wanted to go to Wolverhampton on a winter's

Saturday night. I would imagine the atmosphere would be great, much like night time dogs used to be.

It’s good rog we’ll worth a visit although I wouldn’t really compare it with the good old days of greyhound racing as back then everyone there was interested in the dogs.

rograin, that is the main problem. From the restaurant you can barely see the action and resort to watching on the monitors with poor acoustics and poor display of prices etc. They could do a lot beter on some fronts but the position of the track is bonkers. Much like with the Sandown sprint track, if all the races were sprints nobody would go, you can't see it.

I remember going to Lingfield in the early days of the AW and the meeting was all turf except the last race on that old Fibresand surface and spent some time before discovering where exactly the course was for that race.

Not surprising, as Lingfield has never had Fibresand.

Laugh Screaming, now you see what we are up against in terms of supporting racing against the GC?

Well I just couldn't think of the bloody name equitrack and as usual it very much annoyed me that I was daft enough to go with Fibresand which I think was at Wolves to begin with. Blush
