In the kitchen this AM when i heard a tapping at a small window, happened again a few moments later, saw a bird fluttering its wings and dropping out of sight. Went to the patio window to see a magpie jumping up and down and pecking at the window, flew off when it saw me. Later went into the living room and there was a tapping at the bay window (side), curtain in front of it, pulled it back to see Magpie flying away. Thought this is like a scene from Hitchcocks' "Birds", anyone know why they are doing this, window cleaner came about 3 weeks ago?
Magpies are one of only a handful of animals what can recognise their own reflection so when they see their reflection they think it's a rival bird and being naturally aggressive and territorial they will try to drive it away.
