Paddy Twomey is a genius!! His strike rate is phenomenal, and now he wins Europe's richest juvenile race with an unraced colt. Simply wow.  HappyHappyHappy

Good trainer this Twomey, holds his own against the O'Brien clans

Wonder if he's using Comers magic carrots

With a strike rate like that, you'd be better off using carrots from your local green grocer imo

just watched it again..an incredible debut really..as impressive a debut from a filly ive seen for yrs..in a matter of yards madea 100 rated horse look ordinary.

As Willo used to say, obviously wired to the moon for its debut, so if the big money offers come in from abroad, will she even race again in the UK / Ire?

On the furlong per furlong comparison, it was her stablemate Deepone who came out much the best on the card.

Tbf, that was so impressive from One Look, I think a song is called for...

I thought I was dreaming but I was wrong...

he could have ran it in a novice or maiden race and had the lot on..obv couldnt have won what it won today..a brilliant decision looking retrospectively..

I agree with George B. One Look's race was 6.42 secs above the Racing Post standard time, while the Beresford Stakes, won by Deepone, was only 3.62 secs above standard. Deepone was carrying 5 lb more too.

So, if the Racing Post standard times are correct (and that is a huge 'if', I admit), One Look is 42 lb behind Deepone.

terminal times have little relevance imo..

take away Meydan, and One Look is the most interesting horse running today in the 1-45 Cork, the most impressive 2yr old winner i saw in the sales race last year, nothing to beat today, but a prep for the 1,000 Guineas.Excited
