So, we've reached the final Racing League meeting of the season. I truly believe the Racing league season should be much longer. It would be excellent to have a linear of rock solid form throughout the season which form book students such as myself can rely on. Made a profit at every RL meeting with Jimnast highlighting Spirit Dancer being one of the high points. Pointed out that this beast could do it away from his beloved York and of course I went back in on him when he was returned back there for a G3 just over a week later. And then NEC put me on to 2 very tidy winners last week at his beloved Wolverhampton. Grin Great stuff!

Well, you're only as good as your last winner!

Any thoughts on this evening's racing?

6.15 Aphelios looks ahead of the handicapper judging by his recent win and he has an excellent AW record but all on the Polytrack surface. Kind of strange that connections haven't tried Tapeta before? I'll have to let him run at such a short price. The main bet is Yaaser. Fast pace, 7F and Tapeta are what this beast needs. Hold up horse so of course needs a bit of luck in running. Streak Lightening has his ideal conditions too so I 'll have to go a point on each in here.

Not too bad Swift another Saffie winner to finish off proceedings. She's been excellent and I'm sure she thankful for the Racing League which has given her opportunity to showcase her talent

If you can make it pay fair play, I've not got the time to put in with some of the results that pop up.

Can't find any results from Wolverhampton 13/09/2023.   Still as long as you made a profit there last night.....Laugh

Improvements for next year:
Remove Wolverhampton from the schedule because they can't hold races with the maximum field size of 14.
Allow a joker to be played irrespective of the field size.

I much prefer racing league to the Sunday Series or the Shergar Cup.  So I would like to see those scrapped and the Racing League left to thrive on it's own.

well why cant you have the same races with same prize money, without THE LEAGUE attatched to it

The team competition adds another dimension to it.  Some of the team managers are more committed to the task than some of the others.  For example Dettori  couldn't have cared less about the team competition and for him it was all about himself and autograph signing (He only attended 3 of the meetings and only rode in 2 of them (4 races).  Also, one of the team managers didn't seem up to the task and played his jokers in the wrong races (more than once).   You could tell that this competition was important to Osbourne and Blake right from day one and they were both spot on with their joker deployments.
If you don't like the League concept, just ignore it.  But by ignoring it, you are ignoring potential clues.
