Is it just me, or has anybody else found it necessary to take Racing League results with a very large pinch of salt ?
For example : horses suddenly winning class 3 handicaps quite out of the blue, having never got anywhere near winning one previously, whose form then reverts to normal, i.e. henceforward are class 4 handicappers at best.
I shall now bug you, WP, with every single example I find henceforward ( especially fond of that word today...), and challenge you to find counter examples, all in the name of objective research.

I will also add that I noticed it was the class 3 handicaps that seemed to throw up the oddest results ; haven't noticed many class 2 handicap anomalies, so assuming those contests are fewer in number since prize money is higher ( £51K ).
Two class 3 handicaps at Southwell tonight, so it'll be interesting to see if they're won by horses never having shown the capacity to win won previously.
I shall keep my powder dry and watch with interest.

My data sample is simply the one from my own noggin !
But, it's stood me well so far.
Let's see what happens tonight.
Meantime, I'm off to research yours !

It'd had already won a class 2 handicap when winning the class 2 RL race.
I'm talking about horses who win RL races above what seems to be their class ceiling who then revert back to that very class ceiling.
