Perhaps An Mhi softened up Seddon, but he never looked to be travelling that well, and that certainly wasn't anything like a reproduction of last year. I had him down as a good ground horse in his early days, but his record suggests he shouldn't have had an issue with today's ground. It might be tough season ahead, and they may now be regretting not going straight to America. |

Townend is a very good jockey, but it is difficult to tell with those pick up the pieces rides. It might just have fell for him.
Lisa O'Neill did say in the round up that O'Connell had said that the ground was too soft for Seddon. So maybe my original thoughts were correct. At least I didn't stop the bumper winner. Probably a poor race, but nice staying pedigree, and the first horse the stable has sent out by Affinisea. |
