I used to buy this religiously back in the day but stopped about two years ago for one reason or another.
Is it still worth a read? I might start rebuying it for old times' sake.

I went to the supermarket today with the intention of buying Racing & Football Outlook for old times' sake. £4.50. I put it back on the shelf. Laugh

Raceform Update is the one i always used to buy and I miss it...
Ended up being taken over by the much inferior Weekender which I tried but gave up on.

Thanks for that Second Again. It's a bit annoying, to be honest. I've had that option for ages and didn't know about it. Laugh

Used to buy it religiously in the 80s & 90s.only time I buy it now is if I’m going on a long railway journey,the newsagent there stocks it.no idea why I buy it  to read the likes of pullein suggesting nicking 1/4 point on corners about some obscure footy match where the arbitrage probably disappeared an hour after it was printed.guess it’s a nostalgia thing makes me feel warm inside

I hope your Betting is better than your page assessment.

A Newspaper cannot have an Odd number of pages.

Problem the RFO has always had is that it comes out on a Tuesday and the 48 hr decs for Saturday don't come up until Thursday.
Pullein used to give a huge analysis which six  times out of ten concluded that the price was right so no bet.

It is perhaps due to this thread that the Racing Post has emailed subscribers explaining how to read RFO and the other papers online. You see, we can make a difference! Laugh

@Madhatter,

I was first initiated into this great sport via Raceform Update. It had all the form, in similar format to the weekender and great letters pages plus articles. The legendary Che Van der Wheil was introduced to many in this paper. Weekly 'Fineform' advertisement from Clive Holt plus twice a year a chance to save coupons for discounts on the raceform annuals. A superb publication.

@Fatpunt,

With ultimate you get the daily paper at 9pm plus the weekender and rfo. Also pdfs of the specials through the year. You may find this decent value. try the two month discounted trial at 9.99 first i would suggest
