He will fall into depression when he retires imo….circus ends with no one to see him,and he won’t last in London…tbf..

Seems like they offered the same money as had been agreed for 2022. A stupid insult imo. An "A" lister would want good money to turn up at Listowel.

I remember one of the radio commentators talking about Dettori's nasty side - something you would never hear mentioned when he's riding on mainstream tv.

By:
I can imagine it a few riders don’t like the guy…

How much would Messi want paying to turn out for Shamrock Rovers?
By:
Just tell them to F off ffs….most of the punting crowd don’t like the circus
By:
Jeez - he's been, by a very long way, the public face of horse racing for nearly 40 years.
Horrible phrase, but he is literally 'box office'. A prime product. Boosts attendances wherever he goes and therefore you have to pay for what you get. I haven't been to one of his farewells, but presumably he has to do a lot of public work, when not on a horse, on racedays. |

I think that it's a case of knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing. He could have given a lot back by allowing little kids (and not so little kids) to see him in the flesh. Does he really need the extra money?
By:
Crass and vulgar sums that up.
By:
Does he really need the extra money ? No but the Irish guy wanted him on the cheap and now goes public so that dumb @sses like plenty on this forum who obviously would go anywhere at any price because they are such lovely people can have a crack at him.

Wonder of they gave him a fee? |
By:
Can anyone name the 5 Irish tracks he has ridden at ?
By:
Multi millionaire - and he wants an appearance fee !!!!
Words fail me. |

You would do everything for free if you were a billionaire would you ? Because if you would you are an idiot but i'm kicking myself for being surprised at so many stupid/nasty comments on this thread.

Dettori been riding a long while now.
Did he ride Phoenix Park? Might've shut before his time though. |
By:
Nice Q Jimnast. I am certain on 4, those being Leopardstown, the Curragh, Killarney, and Bellewstown for the Barney Curley race. Would take an educated punt at Phoenix Park as the 5th course. Surely rode there before it closed.

By:
i will stick me neck out and say the curragh is one
bellewstown leopardstown fairyhouse navan |

Dettori returns to Kerry for four rides at Killarney Festival
By:
Tralee being as that shut like Pheonix Park.?
By:
Next week though Dettori will return to The Kingdom, 21 years after making an appearance at the now defunct Tralee track.
On that occasion he had three rides in front of a near 6,000-strong crowd, winning on the last of them, Allotrope, from which he obligingly performed his famed flying dismount. Tralee as well, according this article. |
