Just watched the 18:15 nursery. Someone should tell the jockeys that this is on television.

Surely this has to be ditched. Completely fails on the whole team aspect side. Tomorrow we have... English-owned horse, trainer, jockey, representing....you guessed it Ireland. Another English-owned horse, trainer, jockey representing....you guessed it..Scotland. Complete joke. Incredible 2 channels have lapped it up, it's utter garbage.

Sure the team aspect is nonsense but it provides a weekly card of relatively high-class racing for good prize money. Do what the rest of us do and enjoy the racing by simply ignoring whether Wales and the West can beat Just Outside Wigan or whatever the teams are called.

Why don't they put the evening Sandown card on Terrestrial tv featuring the brigadier gerard amongst others? Because the punter has a chance so no can do..

I think it's watchable when confined to one track. At least this way the horses will probably be ridden by the same jockeys representing their region. As a betting proposition it's a non-starter with me.
