What on earth was the Irish handicapper thinking in giving this horse a hurdles rating of 102 compared with its chasing rating of 149?? The horse's winning SP of 8-13 ays it all. Unbelievable. Surprised

Used to be the same in the UK - You stayed on your last outing Hurdle assessment - whatever happened under a different code in future - and vice-versa.

Same with Flat Turf and All-Weather Ratings, too.

However - The UK System was altered to accommodate improvement under a different discipline, or surface - MANY years ago.

The Irish prefer to stick with their own way of thinking.
