I was daft enough once to have a horse with him (didn't keep it long there). Just could not get on with the guy at all, the way he worked etc never took owners view into consideration etc, chrged what he liked when he liked almost, rant over

L'Es Fremantle was 162.17 when it won at Rasen on 8 November 2018.
In the old days there would have been a second half of an M C Chapman Bank Holiday each way double running somewhere. Looks like those days are over though. Perhaps he hasn't actually got two horses any more. |

By:
The industry SP was 80/1 for L'Es Fremantle, same as today.

At last it seems we have the right answer, so thank you screaming.

The sad thing is I'm pretty sure he was a grail pick but I must've missed that race because there was one every 5 mins.

By:
I keep backing those grail rags and the one time I miss a race they win.

You would miss your head if it wasn't attached

In his golden era (when he had a handful of winners a year) I always looked out for his horses at Cartmel as he seemed to target the course. I did consider Smart Connections because he has ran ok on a couple of occasions but screwed it up by having small lay at lowish odds on him to win with a small back in the 4 place market. Seemed smart pre-race

I remember an interview with Chapman decades ago in which he described a dream he'd had. It apparently involved him training winners at a track by the seaside.
When he woke up, he decided that the track in question was Cartmel, hence the reason he sends horses there. |

he got that wrong. should have sent them to doughville. practically on the beach
