Once Coolmore figure out who the next stallion is, surely they will continue to boss European flat market for the foreseeable future.

I don't see any other corporation showing the nous to challenge them.

Godolphin days are numbered, and Qatar never really stepped up to do much.

Darley have got Cracksman, and while Ace Impact might be a one off fluke for the sire, see what he can do when he gets sent better quality mares.

Julian Muscat did a piece in the RP recently opining that Godolphin could be in trouble due to Dubawi not getting any younger.

Tabor & Co big daddy John are getting older debatable the younger’lads’ will have the same knowledge or desire.

The Hamdan mob aren’t doing too bad and she has the desire listening to her being interviewed.

Dubawi is not getting any younger, true, but nor is Galileo on account of his having died in 2021, although he did sire the first three home in last week's Yorkshire Oaks.

Derby and Irish Derby winner Auguste Rodin is by Japanese super-sire Deep Impact and was looking a likely successor for Coolmore until something went wrong in the King George.

Yes the Ballydoyle Bandwagon and domination will continue for as long as they want. The one thing they do have over the rest is desire and the younger brigade have been brought up with racing in their blood. It's the other operations where you see little youth coming through and you will see the gradual demise of Sheika Hissa's operation as well as Godolphin when SM goes. I can only see a scenario where they will dominate even more in the future.

even with their complete domination, they still cant get that ultimate wonder  horse,  its quantity over quality

That's crazy, they have brilliant quality and plenty of it. While they AOB and his family working for/with them, they will remain at the top.

A little harsh Mitolo, he's been very good for Newmarket. He's a good employer (maybe the best in the business) and spends a lot of money on horses. Big hole if he goes.

never had a dancing brave, frankel, sea the stars even enable, and with their fire power must be irksome for them

Maybe but they have had untold amount of fabulous horses and won just about every big race. They have had champion stallions for years and that will continue. I don't think they would swap what they have for the few that slipped by them and I have no doubt that they will get their Frankel or Sea The Stars.

no. hes been very handy by dishing out fortunes to breeders and racing in genral. its all trying to gain approval for a nasty dictator of a gold-plated khazi. given his apalling record of oppression and brutality he should never have been allowed into the game(i accept hes not alone in this) but hes the most egregious example

the reason he got off with the drugs thing was because the jokey club looked at how much they gain, and were only too pleased to lump the blame on alza rooney. they were absolutely bang at it on a scale that would make charles byrnes blush. a convenient scapegoat was found

if he really was acting independently, he would be dead 1.01

godawful waste colossal amounts of cash worldwide as shakemo use the treasury as his piggy bank. no doubt the people are all racing fans and chuffed he spends all their wonga on it

hes a tyrant that imprisons his children-one of his wives managed to leg it but you never hear of the other 5 who are kept in a gilded cage. he runs a slave state. africans and asians have to surrender their passports to the local plod but europeans dont

blatant racism but nobody givsash1t, least of all blm who only exist where white people take them sertiously. nobody else does

They have AOB he is the difference who apart from being truly delightful and he never changes I think is also very humble man is simply the best. I think he has some remarkable qualities sets him apart from anybody else in racing even the great Henry in my lifetime. What it would be like to spend an day with him.

As people have pointed out Coolmore never got a Frankel (wasn't their year to pick) or a Dancing Brave.

Although they did have Rock of Gibraltar, Giants Causeway & King of Kings the original best horse ever!!
And their genesis was Ballydoyle who had Nijinsky & El Gran Senor surely the best horses of the 70's and 80's respectively.

Best I've ever trained, great mind, unbelievably tough, listen, so much speed, could win a Derby or a Nunthorpe, all options are open, we'll see what the lads say.

Can't remember which horses he was referring to but there must have been a 'Frankel' or a 'Sea The Stars' in there somewhere?

The entity eats, sleeps and thinks horses. There is depth in the entity too. Most importantly it's also a business.

They can think about things in a different way…I mean like Paddington for the Cox Plate.

Okay fairly unlikely now but who even suggests something like that?

Then sending their mares all the way to Japan to hook up with Deep Impact and Hearts Cry.

And Justify getting winners…two G1s already.

But they got the best of the lot in Galileo - Coolmore/Ballydoyle is all about producing stallions and nobody has ever produced a better stallion than Galileo

Great trainer though Aidan O'Brien undoubtedly is, he couldn't have done it without John Magnier?

Eg How much did he pay for Danehill from Juddmonte? 4 million? How much profit did they make on that?

O'Brien isn't winning a load of Classics with the progeny from the likes of No Nay Never and War Front, he's needed the Danehills and the Galileos, etc to do it.
By:

Anyone know what the return would be backing O'Brien blindly in the Classics over the last 10 years particularly as he's had one or two long priced winners ?

They still don't have Galileo's most obvious successful sire son!! (Grant it, it wasn't their pick that year on the foal share!!)

But they ploughed alot of money into Storm Cat (Who generally hasn't shaken the sire world up, Giants Causeway aside)
They completely ignored Dubawi, Dansili to a certain degree.

Maybe some of those Galileo/Danehill Mares covered early on by Dubawi might have cemented something phenomenal for them.

Not a bad few days for Darley stallions - Cracksman sires an Arc winner from his first crop, Rosallion is a Group 1 winner for Blue Point, and Alyanaabi a Group 3 winner for Too Darn Hot.

Yes, wonder where Ace Impact will go to stud?
presumably haras de Beaumont but would Darley or Japan step in?
