Goodluck with this thread...can honestly say would be the first time in about 12 years (since being a kid) I havent and wont bother with York, 10 min walk away. I had a glance at the feature today and that was it.

Can honestly say where this is the first time where I might of been tempted to have some sort of token gesture on todays card, thats all it would be not kept up with form. Instead if they are inistant on affordability checking etc all that garbage I will just stay in my lane head down and let them suffer.

Everyone has to dip their bread somewhere but I've started getting a kick from cutting my nose off to spite my face and not having a go on the horses, funny what a few months does.

when bookies became legal on the street in 1961 why did they not introduce affordability checks then ?

this isn't a racing issue or a football issue.  its a fobt issue and has been since their introduction in 1999.

they need to differentiate between highly addictive electronic gambling and mainstream gambling.  that should have been done in 1999 but wasn't - everything came under the 'gambling' umbrella.  It's not. Bring in affordability checks for anyone playing fobt's / cashino / roulette / slots / rainbow riches / virtual and leave everyone else alone, there's not been an issue with mainstream punting for the last 62 years even when it went online in the 90's.

FOBT addiction has proven to be one of the more powerful and difficult addictions to break.

Users struggle to stop even if they are losing large amounts of money.

having a fiver on a horse shouldn't be getting dragged into this bookie created sh!tshow ....

Quixall, I know you have recommended a lay of my selections every time but what about Bluestocking next, do you think you will get one right by doing the same?

Solid ew imo and very solid chance of form reversal and a win?

Opinion?
