What Are The Place Terms on World Pool Bets?
The place terms for all World Pool races are as follows: 4 declared runners: No place pool 5 or 6 declared runners: 1st or 2nd (void if less than 4 actual runners) 7-20 declared runners: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (3 places remain if 5 or 6 runners, void if less than 5 actual runners) 21 – 34 declared runners: 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th (4 places remain for 20 or less runners |

Here's an update on the above:
York Day 1 Race 1 - 20 runners, all pools offered, Place Pool pays 3 places Race 2 - 6 runners, no Swinger Pool Race 3 - 5 runners, no Swinger Pool Race 4 - 4 runners, EXCEPTION - Place Pool will be offered, 2 places paid. EXCEPTION - no Exacta pool Race 5 - 14 runners, all pools offered Race 6 - 14 runners, all pools offered Race 7 - 20 runners, Place Pool pays 3 places |

Last year saw over record numbers bet into every World Pool day at York totalling £94.5 million: Weds £30.1m, Thurs £32.6m & Friday £31.8m. Today with much bigger fields than yesterday will see massive Win, Place, Swinger & Quinella pools.

Massive win pools maybe, still 99% the same as SP give or take a few coppers. Yesterdays win pool saw the first winner return 4 points above SP the rest were as above.
