lets play darts !

gonna put a few selections / guesses shots in the dark  up on this thread and see if i can keep losses to a minimum or even make a profit ,miracles have been known to happen ! the last one i can recall was jesus and some fish and loaves of bread  so i am due one . any way confidence is returning after a 10 or 12 week spell on the flat where the races i play the front of the market usually win . i have found in the past  at this time of the year things seem to start turning and the glorious outsiders start to get their share of the bounty ,wether that is the case now we shall see (forum curse )and all that . whatever i will never put anything up at less than 10/1 and i play at fairly small stakes so although there will inevitably long losing runs a big priced winner will hopefully wipe out  some of the losses (famous last words )  useless at handicaps  i will stick to group races novice stakes and maidens  where i seem to be luckier . a lot of luck and guesswork will be required as most are lightly raced types who could improve or go backwards or debutants who could be anything or nothing . it is all about price to percieved chance  and as i say playing at big prices often means lots of losers with hopefully the odd decent priced winner here and there . 
2 races take the eye today and the 1 .50 at newbury may be worth a play gosdens arrest will be popular and  the 3yos head the market both look to have decent chances  but i like the look of shandos from the varian yard who has a long layoff to overcome but has gone well fresh in the past was progressing nicely and won a listed contest at kempton beating desert fire quite cosily ,very lightly raced for his age and from a yard in good form if they have him ready he could go well and around 11/1 could be worth a small play . also another at a bigger price who could outrun her odds is luisa casatti who was dissapointing last time but perhaps you can run a line through that run down to the heavy ground ,she may be better judged on her goodwood form 2 runs ago when winning a decent contest  staying on well over 12f a bit to find on the ratings but not that much .
