Looking at an old Folkestone card  the summer of 1977,
Brian Jago, Dennis Mckay, Ray Still, Harry Ballantine, Taffy Thomas, David Maitland to name just a few.
and Paul Cole, M.Stoute and Prescott all had runners that day,the latter 3 still going strong

After a unique chain of events, the winner of one race finished with a different jockey to the one aboard at the original start of the event.

Swaying Tree set off for the six-furlong Yorkshire Handicap, ridden by Edward Hide, at 4.30pm and was declared the winner an hour later - in the hands of Jimmy Bleasdale.
