Monkey track photo, on the line the course has marked Le Beau wins but as with the other monkey track Haydock the line marked cannot be trusted. Thirsk is a Sh1t show of a track full stop and has no business having a Saturday fixture.

I’m starting to think that the line is 5yards in front of the ground marking, because it looked like the 2nd had won it to me on the slow mo and the price flipped flopped when it showed it. Looks like it’s another course like with the dogs where the line is often mistaken. But unlike the dogs they don’t just give it to the one nearest the camera

Wazza, I'm watching on Blv and just went on instinct as they crossed the line first time
On the slomo replay was still sure but betting made me think again

Only messing for small stakes

Or perhaps I am the finest judge

cameras arnt on line..pointless to go off blv/rtv/atr pic...slo mo showed were impossible to split..i dont norn guess as dont like losing money guessing so chucked 50 to risk 25.

The problem was they called the result so quickly. By the time I was certain they were unsplittable, and the odds-on shot was worth a proper lay, the betting was suspended.

Le Beau Garcon
1.33    13.41    4.43    Lay    05-Aug-23 16:37    05-Aug-23 16:37    13.41

That's all i was prepared to risk at first glance.

i dont norm guess as the games to hard to chuck money guessing..can easy be 1/2" rong and it costs money.

I admit it's hard to argue with a strategy based on not losing money.

But it's a good job some gamblers, e.g. me, are happy to lay what we think are even money shots at 2s ON or 3s ON, or there wouldn't be much of a market!

Yeah, degenerates, I know.Sad

how can you back in a photo when as  in this case those in charge of pics give 3 different stills as to where the line is, ended by 3 frames back from where they 1st put the still
as fitzy tells people to look at the heads going past the mirror havnt they got the tech to make the mirror larger or is it not to their benefit,i backed the winner but thought it was deffo beat till they showed the last still, when you thought you had a chance

doesnt matter how big the mirror width is it still produces on relection of the full horse..where are the 3 different stills? normal pics can only be used as a guide as 95% arnt on line..the slo mo is the only camera directly across the line...i thort today was to close to call so risked a pony.

on ruk they inched the freeze frame back 3 times from when they 1st showed the still on the supposed  line

hannrity said the tech boys honing in on the fav and it was as though they inched the freeze frame back till they reached a spot where the fav at least looked like it had won

they are hopeless..they dont know where the line is..regularly they stop it a yd past the line on dodgy angles..experience tells you where the line is..its the end of the mirror to the camera in the stands..over time ewe learn where to line it up..gap in rail opposite the mirror is norm a fair guide.

why cant they just do the same as australian and south african horse races, and have a camera angle looking straight down the finishing like. UK are just backwards
