Aussies turn to host next in their conditions. 5-0

When it all calms down we certainly haven't heard the last of that ball change , the comparison is embarrassing tbh.

"The biggest concern I have is the big discrepancy in the condition of the ball that was chosen to replace the one [that had gone out of shape]," Ponting said on Sky Sports. "There's no way in the world you can even look at those two balls there and say in any way are they comparable.

"At the end of the day, if you are going to change the ball, you want to make sure that you get it right, so [you make it] as close as you possibly can to the one that you're changing it from. Now if you have a look in that box, there weren't too many older-condition balls in there. There were some older ones that were picked up, the umpires looked at that and threw them back. LaughLaughLaugh

"I just cannot fathom how two international umpires that have done that a lot of times before can get that so wrong. That is a huge moment in this game, potentially a huge moment in the Test match, and something I think actually has to be investigated: whether there was the right condition of balls in the box, or the umpires have just, blasé, picked one out of there that they think will be okay to use."

You'd think a bowling side should be more than happy bowling with a ball that has gone egg-shaped.

Snipey deffo a closet Aussie ffs

Fkin seething Aussies, 2 nowt up and laughing at the ‘spirit of the game-gate’
Then telling all that would listen they could win the toss
Then pretended the rain didn’t save their ass.

They won the toss and decided the way the final game went…and got beaten.

They should take a leaf out of John Howard’s book and thank the British for colonising them. Laugh

dusty abso seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeething Laugh After all the excuses an blatant hypocrisy is out the way, the embarrassing celebration of a drawn/lost series is all that's left for the "vastly superior" side over the 5 tests..

Doesn’t affect me ducks
You might have thought you’d won and shot your bolt but couldn’t do it cos we came right back at ya.

In the round England did have the best of it and that’s how it is.
When you going back? Let me guess you from Perth?

Some dopey obviously thought it would be a good idea to send out a change of ball set with few overs on than the one they were playing with, umpires could only chose from the box they were sent, the ball looked fairly new the one that was chosen Laugh

Great stuff from Broady, what a way to finish. Hits a six off his last ball when batting and takes the final wicket to galvanise the victory.
604 wickets, finishes fifth in the all time greatest bowler table and only the second fast bowler to have ever achieved such a high standing, the only other being Jimmy Anderson at third; England being the only country to have two bowlers in top 5.
No other country competes at such a high level in such a wide variety of sports.
Hurrah for England.

Can't see Jimmy playing for us again, albeit he was unlucky a few times, beating the bat.

A great series that saw 4 close finishes that
could have gone either way and a no result
when one team were cantering to victory.

England way too cocky at start, and paid the price,

The ashes sleep well at Lords.
