In the absence of George's excellent string on 3yo hurdles, I will plump for Climate Precedent here. The connections seem to enjoy moving decent flat horses to hurdles and this one looks good enough if it can jump. Allmankind, Too Friendly and Father of Jazz have been recent Gredley converts to hurdles. Climate Precedent's flat form does not match his pedigree but he was not useless.

Thanks George and good luck in France. I can't get excited about any flat racing today but looking forward to Goodwood.

Difficult race, some support for Vitani, but I would plump for National Health to surprise.

Vitani is a puzzle. Beaten 65 lengths first time, then won at a big price. I expect this race to be better than those efforts but you never know how much a horse can improve if it takes to hurdles.

Amazing how good this Vitani is over hurdles. She clearly loves the job and stays. Climate Precedent got the trip well and his jumping can be improved.

I vaguely recall someone saying it was a bit of a fluke last time and out on it's feet, so would never follow up. This game makes us look pretty daft eh.

Every years there are a couple of youngsters with very poor or no flat form that enjoy hurdling and win a few before the really big guns appear. Last season it was one of my all time favourites, Mr Freedom.
