whats the rule though, you have to be in contact with the horse as it crosses the line? if youre in the process of falling, and your hand is still in contact with the horse as it hits the wining line, is that legal?

Does the unseat occur when some part of the jockey touches the ground? Or once that has become inevitable and he or she is no longer in control of the horse? This is close, and that might become the relevant issue...
