If Totnes opened at 2/1 and stayed within half point of that, he'd be the lay of the day, absolutely useless. If he were the second or third fav he'd also be useless. However, he steamed from 5.5 to 2.84 which makes him good enough to back because big steamers never lose.

As mad as Gaze is there is something in it. These days favs that are made shorter than they should be on recent form are more than ever possible backs as well as possible lays.

u know what I mean 6/4 h'cap favs with far from the best recent form are more common these ( exchange ) days. If you lay 'em based on form you often come unstuck.  Johnny Dineen latest on you tube makes this point.
