Very sad news.
The horse never seemed to be travelling in that race, having to be ridden from the off, and one wonders whether it should've been racing at all.

Horse has always been 'a law unto itself' ...
Bit like it's previous Trainer ... and previous Owner.  One of those beasts that you could never catch right. |

That was exactly my impression when I saw him having to be ridden early to go any pace.
Not blaming the young apprentice, but maybe a more experienced jockey would've pulled him up sooner. Well, it's academic now, but cannot help thinking this could've been avoided, as previous two starts for new yard seemed to indicate something was amiss. |
