Won Prince of Wales and Hardwick. She was a great mare and I backed her several times in that her best year so was a favourite of mine.

Won twice at the meeting?

She broke a track record that week, but I cannot remember in which race. May have been the Hardwicke.

TV strikes meant only those present on course got to see those two victories - the rest of us just have still pictures, she did make the front cover of Pacemaker. Little Wolf's Gold Cup absent from the reels also of course. Not uncommon at the time, King's Rides's Lincoln also missing from the archives - and a few years before the militant action cost tv viewers the chance of watching Son Of Love's Leger, and more importantly Troy beating Crimson Beau in the B&H, and from the same fixture the race arguably leaving the biggest hole in the reel archives - Sea Pigeon's Ebor, though I do have the R2 recording on tape cassette lying about somewhere.

Remember it all verbotene I would try and find that tape cassette that’s lying about somewhere will be worth plenty.

Did the mare also win the Japan Cup in the same year??
I was there when she won the Friday race...if memory serves me correctly, the going that day was lightening fast but the horse stormed in anyway. |

She did the knight after a bad journey over

She didn't quite manage to win the Arc, but I think it was one of her best runs.. just getting run out of it late on, the year All Along won, 1983..
On the inside most of the way, yellow with black stripes.. can't remember who rode her then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6avOIrjS0U |
