There has only been 2 on the BBC (well 3 -if you count Holiday cover etc)

Peter Bromley - revered by some ... an over excitable SHOUTING early-day Mark Johnston, to me

- an more latterly - for the past few decades - Cornelius Lysaght -
- although, he was much more Correspondent than Commentator ....
- as the BBC seemed to give-up on Radio Horse Racing commentaries - shortly after Lester Piggott Won his second Classic.

when you google 'horse racing commentaries', like the generic radio horse commentaries from each high street bookies. he was commentating maybe 10-15 years ago, but not sure if he still does.

just googled Lee McKenzie , you might be right penzance, but not sure without hearing him. if i was to put a face to the voice, it would match. but ive been very wrog about that in the past with commentators
