Passed practically every other horse in the Final Furlong - weaving in and out up the far rail - But ...
Would you Back it Next Time ?

The support for it suggested it was well fancied but the sharp 5fs put me off, layed it at 3.6 and backed IR at 23, was hoping it would get up on the line. If it stays around same mark with a similar 5lbs claimer think you'd want to back it over 6/7fs in similar company. Entered at Dundalk next Wed over 1m.

Probably go and run it in a Claimer over 1m2f next - or something strange like that.
Don't know what he is feeding them - His earlier Winner set of in front - and that was that.
Wouldn't mind some it myself.

There are enough Answers on here - let alone clues ...
- aswell as another Thread on the race (Bellewstown 6:30) - which I cross-referenced on, too.

Chance to test the form of that race with the not quite so fast finishing My Girl Sioux, who by and large went unnoticed running on strongly into 4th, looks to have a good draw today, looks to be improving after running a decent race behind h'cap blot So Majestic 3 runs ago, extra furlong should help, not certain to appreciate the soft ground by Sioux Nation but the dam was by Mastercraftsman which certainly did, hopeful of a big run, think Distillate which would have been my pick has a big draw disadvantage to overcome.

Ran a cracker, possibly the extra furlong was too far but travelled very strongly most of race, traded about just over 2.5 IR, find a race soon as will Distillate.

No, unluckiest horse was a jumper who smashed into the last fence taking out the poles on the outside , when it was going to beat its stable mate, 400/500 bet on that, that followed another big bet on a horse that broke down after 2f on the flat

Roadrunner had the cheek to call Onlooker an aftertimer! At least he posted his actual bets Roadrunner in his story, not like your aftertiming where you can't even post the horses name.

For anyone who cares - the horse's name was Scarlet Dancer - I was the other poster - have a look at the race - was pretty incredible - not quite Arazi but getting there. :)

Stewarts,do you concentrate mainly on Irish racing? Not something I get involved in tbh but you seem to have a grasp of the apprentices etc,did wonder during our team compy?

Yes Glen i do like low grade irish racing the h'caps. They tend to have really good apprentices coming through regularly and if you cotton on to them early claiming 7/10lbs then they are worth their weight in gold. Try to avoid the better class races where O'Brien the clan are involved and multiple entries. Pretty sure i was the first poster to mention Raquel Blackmore when she was a 10/7lb claimer and how strong she was and Micky Sheehy and Sam Ewing were others who caught my eye a couple of years ago, Wesley Joyce was another but had a bad injury and more recently Adam Caffrey and Robert Whearty are worth a good look when on a horse with a bit of a chance. Caffrey and Whearty in particular have had loads of rides but still claim 5 and 7lbs respectively. I really believe that Caffrey will be irish champion jockey in the not to distant future, the clock in his head and judgement of pace and ability to get a horses head up on the line is 2nd to none. Have a look at his ride on Zig zag zyggy in Scarlet Dancers race, the only place the horses head was in front was on the line, not before and not after absolutely brilliant. When replacing an established jockey on some horses can mean turnarounds of 10lbs to a stone with other horses for a couple of lengths. As you know i look for decent priced horses that i can bet EW 1st 4/5 like that MGS yesterday backed at 21 on here, put a keep bet lay in at 3 to double stake, which was matched and backed at 14/1 with 2 bookies 1st 5. I find not many english people like myself are interested in low grade irish racing as (it's all bent) and obviously just like here there are plenty of not offs but you can usually spot them and as i'm not backing short prices doesn't really affect my thinking. Usually the draw pays a large part in a poor run which is why initially i was looking to back Distilate (look at my Irish horse ratings) thread to find out why i quite fancied it, but was mainly to do with a horse called So Majestic, but having seen that a low draw was not the place to be yesterday, i doubted it could win, but still ran best of those drawn low finishing 6th, so backed MGS instead drawn in 22 of 22. If you look at form in races that most people aren't interested in, then you can usually get an edge i find.

Fancy him tonight Onlooker? Gone up 3lbs, no 5lb claim could make it difficult, presume he's running Pulse Of Shanghai to make the pace for him but whether he can peg him back is debateable, Eruption looks best in of the front 3 last time but 13 draw may be aq disadvantage, interesting sprint.

wonder if this will prompt Onlooker to get typing again, nearly a year since it's Arazi type performance, usually manages to be slowly away but led this time.

Wonder if Scarlet Dancer will blitz out of the stalls again under this young Kidd, must have a good chance of following up if doesn't blow the start again. Tricky sprint with others who have developed a bad habit of blowing the start. American In Paris would have an ew chance if getting away on terms, ran a cracking race here last year when drawn opposite side, Wesleys horse Iva Batt also looks well h'capped now.

The Kidd couldn't quite keep his mount going collared towards the finish, traded under 1.5 though finished 4th with American In Paris trader about 2.6 i think holding on for 5th for ew backers.
