17 May 23        Wor C5 Appr Hcap (0-100)    pu/12        Hurdle    88    20f    Gd/Sft        Dylan Kitts (3)    12/1    17.9  in-play low -/6.8

Held up in rear, mistake 5th, pushed along 6th, ridden and lost touch 7th, pulled up before 2 out

Held up in rear, headway 6th, in touch with leaders after 4 out, going easily but tenderly handled home straight, lost ground 3 out, stayed on and went third run-in, eyecatcher

very similar SP's.  are we to believe that it traded at 6.8 the day it lost touch 7th, pulled up 2 out. but never went below 13 the day it looked the winner from half a mile out ??

who was laying it ??  were they new accounts ?  were the amounts risked consistent with other bets on other races ?  is ANYONE CHECKING THIS ??  is the GC fit for purpose ?  do they give a fk about the integrity of racing / betting / exchanges ??

find out who was laying / link them to connections / throw the book at them.

Agree that is very interesting and the fact it has been referred, you would hope the powers that be look into this and any connections to the people that were laying the horse substantially.

last thing padi wants is someone sniffing around asking who's been laying this and who's been backing that.

could get very messy.

But Betfair (or Padd y - as you prefer)  -

Have a Memorandum of Understanding with the BHA - which is as good as a legally binding obligation (if Requested by the BHA).

Betfair cannot really say 'No' - or - we will only 'show you' what we want to show you - surely - as Betfair would be in breach of the Agreement.

Mind you - Betfair have just announced a £40 million (over 5 years) 'donation' to British Horse Racing ...

so - Which Tail is wagging which dog?

There is a big difference between 1. Asking for betting records of that race only 2. Asking for betting records of that race, other races the large layers also made money on last 2 years. Accounts linked to all these accounts, and to analsye jockeys, trainers and horses linked to lay profits. Its very unlikley they ask for (2) but would interesting if they could

One other clue, horse doubled in price before off

Anyone know how much was done @ its lowest IR odds (13)
Report JPSER July 7, 2023 3:26 PM BST
i still cant believe it only went as low as 13, it only lost by a length. and if it got a single shake at anytime during the last couple of furlongs it would have won. surely the in play backers would have outweighed the few in running layers who knew?

at 13.0 odds the layers have to put up 12:1 more money than the backers
Report JPSER July 7, 2023 3:28 PM BST
and that was supposedly the lowest it went, every other time in the race they were laying it at a larger ratio

I thought that was one of Rico's resurrections of decade-old forum threads?
