Interesting to note all the ones Ash does not like are available at bigger odds now than the price he was willing to lay them earlier.
Ash,how long after they are announced do you share them with Elon Musk ?

I don't understand Tom Segal's relationship with the Racing Post now.
Bookies emasculated his impact when they ceased to honour overnight prices.
What does "Pricewise" mean to RP readers now?
Why doesn't Tom Segal follow Hugh Taylor?
I guess it depends on Segal's salary at the RP. If you were Tom, why ever leave that position?

Sir Tom is just another RP hook to sign up subscribers promising them exclusive 'tips' except they omit the minor detail that prices are gone before they get access.
Bookies would clean up if they honoured the price of his selections even if it's to a maximum stake. [guy couldn't tip ashes in recent times bar the odd flurry]
Pricewise, along with the rest just there for reference as to why hosses have tightened up.
Sir Tom knows that Sir Hugh is an AW astute tipster but has an employer that insists he tips every day of the week and for codes he dislikes.
Watching Sir Tom and Sir Paul squirming like eels day after day on RP shows looking totally embarrassed at their desperate tipping is uncomfortable viewing. Twas a toss-up as to who looked the most suicidal during Royal Ascot. But yeah, they won't bite the hand that feeds 'em

They would be cleaned out. That's why bookies don't offer it anymore. But what is the point of a Pricewise column when you don't know the prices available to your readers?

Must have been nought from 20 odd selections at RA barring the odd ante-post tilt. Must have cleaned up along with PK nose-diving into oblivion. Money for old rope laying those porkers.

Elon Musk has tweeted that requiring logins to see what Ash doesn't fancy is only a temporary measure.

Temporary emergency measure. We were getting data pillaged so much that it was degrading service for normal users!
Basically he is complaining about ChatGPT and similar AI bots.

You wouldn't lay forumites a tenner every pricewise tip at the prices available when he writes his column but, if you did, you would be skint.
I'm sorry but you're wrong, leif. You wouldn't lay forumites a tenner every pricewise tip at the prices available when he writes his column but, if you did, you would be skint.
Does anyone know what 'available prices' actually connotes these days. It seems a term that belongs to times gone by. Trundled out like mama's apple pie.
There appears to be several prices pre-race . A mythical 'available' price, one that appears miliseconds after it's announced there's a tip to be backed and another that has been slashed to threads shortly after the first two events.
Still plenty of mugs prepared to back these tips blindly.
Are there any stats for their tips, profit and loss wise?

He became a joke a couple of years ago when he let slip the Racing Post (the bookies) said which races he had to pick a horse from.
The Racing Post has long been run by the bookies but idiot book shop mugs are to stupid to realise it.

shut up -- "He became a joke a couple of years ago when he let slip the Racing Post (the bookies) said which races he had to pick a horse from."
Erm, it has been like that from the beginning and if you think about how Pricewise works, it has to be that way.
Right from the off in February 1987, Pricewise was based on the races the bookmakers priced up and advertised in the paper. Who decides which races the bookies put in their adverts? Obviously, it's the bookmakers.
Then came the Pricewise guarantee, where bookies agreed to hold their prices for 15 minutes on a Saturday morning. Again, that was something determined by the bookmakers.
Arguably, now the books price up every race and hold no prices, Pricewise could change but even now, it would have to be races the books price up early the day before, which again is chosen by the bookmakers.
Sir Tom Segal did not "let slip" anything that we did not already know, and that had never been secret.
