It's getting a really good reception, part 3 talks about the glory days of betfair.

Skipped the first two but 3 was very good so just listened to 4. Thought provoking arguments from Calvin.

I will read his stuff. A good writer, rightly proud of his copy.

Funnily enough, as seen on the Youtube badge, he looks scarier when he's trying to be friendly.

I had no idea twm worked for betfair.

Getting SIS at rp towers in the early days must have been akin to printing money, no need to be playing up on inside information.

Back then they didn't even have anyone at the course iirc. So known winners could be backed after a photo result was called. Nice work if you could get it.

twm is a forumite (or ex forumite) mentioned on the videocast. Involved in a string of horses, but not seen him post on here for years.

Horses ran in green sleeves & cap with blue/yellow or blue/red quarters.
Weren't that spat was to do with the Italian apprentices?

Yes penzance. Tobymug was giving it the big one about being connected/in the know. He was a bit taken aback when the actual owner tm (and wife) posted to take exception to it! Laugh

Calvin alluded to Black devising reduction factors.

It's not perfect, but still a damn sight fairer than rule4.

But I think he did it almost against his will..I believe he wanted Betfair to be a savage pond.

One tiny corner of the internet that changed everything.

Of course, the do-gooders and legislators would catch up eventually.

Since when did the RP tipsters post their P&L?  He often tips when betfair is say 34 but the BSP may end up being 20. Rarely goes the other way though it did with a juvenile hurdler last year which ended up around 100 . Nothing stopping other tipsters tipping big prices
