Back then they didn't even have anyone at the course iirc. So known winners could be backed after a photo result was called. Nice work if you could get it.

hes a journalist so seems to do well but and its a big but betfair sp he getting serious advantage as the guys from from post arnt allowed to use betfair sp and i could argue thats the profit he makes especially as he tips big prices, so it aint a level playing field to compare others
