Surely this is a good thing.

Keep things more online. Surely easier to find out the corrupt who pass on the brown envelope on the side of the motorways to those pulling the reins

1008 man is the same "man" who's obviously noticed that i've outed them ("him") on this forum and decided they'll ("he'll") show me who the boss is.  without realising all it does is prove his ("their") existence.

not a smart play.

Fair to say this scenario wouldn't occur if it was Cheltenham

Lots of reasons why there are few people in shops these days.
1. Exchanges give good value.
2. All races televised on ITV.
3. Unemployment down from 10% to 2%.
4. Irish horses win half of the races so unfamiliar names with GB punters.

So you think the shops would be empty Cheltenham week?

1. Vast majority of punters don't play Exchange.

2. All races including other meetings are free online and on smartphones.
3. There are more NON EMPLOYED people than ever before.
4. Yeah Willie Millins etc really unfamiliar with GB punters.

the most alarming thing is not the amount of people watching the racing, its the fact there was only 1 person on a fobt.

how can the shops survive without all the fobt income

A shop in Southend recently, when on visiting duties, still had ultra violet lights in the khazi. Must be a barrel of laughs

In a Penzance shop they must have run out of toilet paper, so someone wiped their arse with their sock and ditched it in the loo

They will go the way of farriers (excluding racing ones), mole catchers and footmen before long. No longer needed.
