So whats the difference between backing a 1/10 shot and laying a 10/1 shot?
In the first case you put down 10 to win 1 and in the second case you hope to win 1 but might lose 10.

My average lay odds are below 5 but in the case of 10/1 shots I can be 95% sure they'll lose. When backing 10/1 shots you'll inevitably have a 20+ losing run because they suck.

What an absurd statement……

It’s hard to back a 10-1 shot then lay a 10-1 shot…. You’re guaranteed to be right 95% of the time, yet will lose 20 times before backing one at 10-1…..

So if that is factually true…. Everyone should just lay 10-1 shots u will have a 200% ROI before u give half back.

So those 10-1 shots should be 20-1 or bigger

You misunderstood tony. I'm not saying 10/1 shots lose 95% of the time, they only do when I lay them. And when you're a backer, even if you're good and hit 13% at 10/1, eventually you will lose 20 in a row even if you're Hugh Taylor.

How do you know what the SP is going to be until the race is off? Any system based on SP is nonsense.
