World Pool Next Week & Pool Betting Update

Westberks,as you are a PR man with the Tote can you explain this.On  Tuesday in the 5.50 at Ayr the Tricast paid £5,191.06 but the Tote's trifecta £3,054.90 over £2,000 less.Was this because of the tote seeding?Thanks in advance.

Westberks... I have been doing the Placepot every day for as long as I can remember, so you're preaching to the converted here, but...
I would like an answer to the same question/s that everyone else has asked of you recently, namely...
How and when does this "newly introduced" seeding happen?
And why is it a secret as to how it is applied?
Why are they allowed to do it? As I'm sure Camelot staff cannot do the National lottery, especially looking last minute and covering the unbacked combinations...

I don't expect a reply, but if you don't know the answers, why not just say so?

  Firstly you are not talking about betting on horses, you are talking/ promoting 100% about the Tote.
Secondly where will you be hiding when the Seeding ( Insider dealing ) becomes fully exposed for the Fraud it is. ?

I can only give answers to what I know - as for Lifford; how you can find a negative in bringing a dead track back to life, employment, punter value &, moreover, fun, I simply cannot fathom. Let me know if you want to come over here & see it for yourself.

Surprised Westberks still has a job after Epsom disaster.  Told everybody the early start would lead to record pools, then blamed the early start when the totals bet were well down. Westberks must be the worst shill in the betting industry. Instead of making the tote more popular, he makes everybody hate it.

If I was in charge of the tote, first thing I would do is sack the useless Westberks.

Then apologise to all the former long term customers who have unfairly had their accounts closed, and beg them to come back.

Then apologise to anybody who has done a placepot in the last 2 or 3 years for ripping them off, fixing the pools, and giving them terrible value.

Then promise to stay out of the pools, stop being greedy, and run the tote like a proper tote, not the shower of $hite that it has become now.

The tote has been ruined by corporate greed, completely ruined. Absolute rip off these days, probably the worst value bet out there, even worst than Chester bet.

You can match sp but can’t match the prices available in the ring and never will .the oncourse are no longer the sp since the pandemic there is mainly quite a difference in what you can have at the off time as what you will get returned from the online bookmakers.

He/him/her/she/it, whatever it is you identify as. I used to think you were just a cut and paste bot, your lack of knowledge and interaction suggested so. Though maybe you are an actual person.

Either way, I’ve done plenty of research, and what would best for me, or anyone, as a punter would be if the tote stopped closing peoples accounts, and allowed every punter to enjoy the luxury of bigger perms for smaller stakes, 5-10% extra on returns and not being banned from the ten to follow, fantasy and other markets. (that’s how to shill)

Though you would rather close the accounts of anyone who bets more than a tenner a week, so you can rinse low staking mugs on the placepot, and get them to bet SP only on the win markets.

Tote is terrible value, there is no getting away from that, the takeouts are huge. Even the world pool is poor value, high takeouts too. You will scream and shout every time you beat SP or beat the Tricast, though there are loads of examples where you don’t, particularly on world pool. And if you do ever happen to win a trifecta, the dividend is always matching at best, often way under. If you want I will cut and paste the last 5 trifectas I won before I stopped betting with you. All paid under, some well under, some disgracefully under.

What you are doing with the placepot and other markets with your seeding is just plan wrong, and definitely, an “absolute rip off”. Plenty of research has been done on that. You’re making millions, whilst unsuspecting punters are getting rinsed.

am i being thick here, if tote have added 250k to pool placepot at york today, the total pool is 269k approx, does that mean punters have only contributed 19k ? ie public have lost interest

Westberks- A genuine comment/query. I know it’s going back a long time in history but when the tote was set up in the 1920’s by Winston Churchill, the takeouts from all pools was 5%. The tote thrived and with betting shops illegal at the time it was a serious rival to the on course bookmakers. Over the years, takeouts have risen to levels that can only be described as savage and penal. Why not dispense with gimmicks like matching the SP and let your customers bet into genuine low margin pools? Can you imagine the turnover in a place pot pool with a 5% to 10% takeout? The current 29% takeout is larceny on a grand scale.

Acey, when I spoke to the gambling commission about the Tote betting into their  own pools I was more or less told that so long as it is in  their  Terms and Conditions  there is nothing they can do. Buyer beware.

I've basically confirmed this week whilst away, and can't say how, the UK tote is completly and utterly rank.
Sorry for all the cloak and dagger shte, its not mine to share but an eyeopener none the less.

Not surprising figures are going up with the amount of people you’ve got pushing it. You must have paid off the whole racing media. Yourself, all the social media tipster shills, every posh kid with a podcast, every racing post journalist, and seemingly the whole of the itv crew too. It’s cringy watching them all pretending to be tote advocates.

The guy who does the betting ring reports on itv cant shut up about world pool, he must be on money per mention. Keeps quoting the prices about 5 minutes out and saying what great value they are. Completely misleading punters, making out that’s the price you’re going to get paid out at. Those guide prices can’t be trusted when they are going into the stalls, they still return completely different, let alone when they are still in the parade ring, trading standards need to have a word.

Great to see all the usual faces getting paid for promoting something they’ve obviously never even used, where as genuine tote punters get their accounts closed, and unsuspecting new punters get shafted by your pool meddling and ridiculously high takeouts.

Someone made a point about the 1505 hrs only paying 3 places which I found strange,a 19 runner handicap.Would not have known why if GC hadn't explained,even so still seems ridiculous that unless a punter has read all the T & Cs about the World Pool they would wonder wtf is going on.

How can that possibly represent value when the books were paying down to 6 places?
