Byrnes v AJ Martin, which one's Off, a tricky one. Byrnes having it's 1st run for him was even spotted by the stewards. Presume his claimers hand is ok now as has been riding regularly inc riding Taylors Three Rock to an all the way win lto.
AJ Martin horse hasn't had the handbrake let off yet, maybe it's not very good but having reviewed last 2 runs, i don't feel was put into either race, other horses have possibilities but i'll risk the AJM horse Atlantic Wonder EW 1st 5 at 13/2 and a win bet here at 9.4. His sire is interesting appearing to have had only a handful of progeny, inc half brother Atlantian which had 3 very good 2nds on the trot this year over further after appearing useless on first Six runs for Martin, unlucky not to win one or two of them imo.
The sire Atlantic Waves had a fascinating race record beating Oaks winner Speciosa as a 2 yo by 6 lengths and just 2 lengths behind Dylan Thomas at Salisbury afterwards. Won the listed Fieldon stakes 1st time out as a 3yo before finding 1m4fs too far in Sir Percys Derby, never ran again.

Thought the late drift meant it was having another easy race, and held up last was rather off putting as well but showed he was off making relentless progress 3 out, looked all over the winner and went 1.26 IR before the other gambled horse pulled away on run in, never mind, nothing lost, slight profit with IR.

Don't wish to upset him - especially as the Opening race on the card was named - CASTLEREA Novice Chase - and ... stewarts Will have backed the namesake CASTLEREA LAD many times in years gone by - - in Sprint Handicaps for Bryan McMahon.  |

Been out most of the day Onlooker and hadn't noticed, remembered the name won lots of races but for Reg Hollinshead not Bryan.

Looks like the money has come for him today 4/1 into 2/1, up 3lbs for that 2nd lto offest by jockey able to claim full 5lbs. Could still be something else lurking but signs are favourable, too short for me to back but if goes to a decent price IR may have a small bet.
