go anywhere near it - paddys giving you under the odds (you said he could) and immediately greening himself up in-house.

fairly blatant but he knows he can treat 'normal' exchange players with disdain as he's operating within a framework with very little governance.

It just matches your bet at lower odds. Avoid.

That's probably why they've done this down time so as to promote it

Tried it once never again,better off trying to get matched in running at the odds you want, not getting matched at a lower price with match me.

As far as I can see (I played with it when first launched) it just puts your bet in a couple of ticks below the prevailing price and lets best price execution do its thing.

If anyone has evidence that it matches at a price below the best on offer, that would be concerning, but it's not what I saw.

I'm all for it. The chance to match people at two ticks below the price they think is value is basically a punter's Holy Grail.

I've only seen it on the mobile app, rico. My Account - Settings - Price options.

I've disabled it, but it still sometimes pops up anyway. A distraction you don't need when you're at the races and you're trying to place a bet on the phone while looking at the horses and the Post at the same time.

If you're an in-running punter, the Keep Bet button has long afforded the option to hoover up mug money; it's nice that Betfair are now offering the same opportunity to pre-race punters.

I think it works well enough for what it is intended for - it is what I do manually in fast-moving markets - shove the bet in a few ticks below the prevailing market price and let best price execution do its thing.  Clearly not the route to go if you are price/value sensitive to the level of a few ticks.

Interesting to read the views from different people on how they play the game. Not for me though I'm afraid.
