August 11, 2021 - Aeonian at Yarmouth - a 2yo debutant.
He's had 11 in the last 30 years (2 2yos - both debutants - the other one never ran again) - all between 7f and 10f. 2 at York, otherwise different tracks. 2 ridden by Jimmy Fortune, otherwise different jockeys. |

8 were in maiden/novice races for 2 or 3yos.
The other 3 were 4yos.. Ezzoud in the Juddmonte - 1993 Imperial Stride in the Wolferton (Ascot at York) - 2005 Navado in a valuable handicap at Newbury - 2003 The best of the maidens was Soviet Line (Sheikh Maktoum) who won at Leicester in 1993 at 25s on his 3yo debut, with his stablemate Map of Stars (Sheikh Mo) down the field as the 2/1 fav. Soviet Line won the Lockinge as a 6yo, whereas Map of Stars failed to win in 9 races. |
