I got drunk in New Plymouth once, not in your league but a pretty impressive aftertime don't you think..

Looks a winner to me Grin has a down under expert joined the team now? Famous five yesterday, super 6 today Happy

I'm still puzzled ladycarla. I could only watch it by the betting and something went 1.01 and it wasn't my selection.

WD on the winner Stewart, but what i think needs explaining is betting 300 in the early hours on a 3 year old making debut in an egg and spoon maiden at a mediocre track in New Zealand. Had only placed in a barrier trial on good going, heavy today and up in trip. Rated 45

Was scratched from R4 to run in R3. No change to result.

I would say in my defence that what you pointed out is one of the reasons I punt but each to their own.

If you don't find that funny tough, I do, along with another few posts on here.

Tom, Aussie and NZ races are usually settled within one minute. This one took over six minutes minimum to the delight of my balance. I only asked the question because I thought the result had been reversed.

post ya PC portal page. only takes 10 secs

And who did you expect to answer at 2.16 in the morning ?

Settling 5 mins after the result is hardly a big issue imho

Explain what? Its simple. You got the double up. Compulsive gambling and aftertiming on one fred Mischief
Report stewarty b June 8, 2023 10:58 AM BST
It was over six minutes. Who was going about? Plenty but no idea if they had pics.

why are you on 4% commission stewarty and not 2%?

Probably a photo finish as it won by a neck, and maybe there was possibility of a stewards enquiry.

tbf - the 2% bet is York (i.e. UK) and the 4% bet is New Zealand.

I have no idea about New Zealand - but lots of countries (Like Australia) have their own (usually higher) commission rates.

@TM

"I have no idea about New Zealand - but lots of countries (Like Australia) have their own (usually higher) commission rates."

Is it "lots"?  I thought it was just:

- ANZ markets still work the 'old' way - base rate and BF-points discount
and
- some Australian states have a higher base rate to offset state betting taxes?
Report The Management June 9, 2023 11:30 AM BST
I'm also a bit of a pedant myself longbridge - so fair play to you, I should have said "some other countries" rather than "lots of countries."

But the point still stands - i.e. there is nothing odd whatsoever about the OP paying a different rate of commission in New Zealand versus that which he pays in the UK. It would have actually been odd if they were the same!
Report longbridge June 9, 2023 1:10 PM BST
Indeed, nothing odd there at all.
