over the years there have been hundreds of occasions where a horse has stood still behind the tape and been deemed a runner..today Gio's Girl went past the starter yet been deemed a non runner?  Contrary to your policy of previous years! Any reason for today?

As the official result lists the mare as a non-runner (withdrawn - refused to line up), they ought to be questioning Gundry and the jockey as to why they joined a race with a horse declared a non-runner.

There were a dozen Just Stop Animal Extinction types standing outside the entrance holding placards before racing. I hope they peered over the railings and saw Gio's Girl later on, because she would have put them right on their delusion that horses perform against their will. You can't make a horse do anything unless it wants to do it.
