Had to move over a bit from a straight line I think. Looked like it was going to whoosh past for sure. If GT had hugged the rail I suspect he would have done.

That was my first impression too, racing6699.
However, head on showed the gelding drifted left behind the eventual winner, and I'm assuming it was at that point he stopped riding until out in the clear again. One of the reasons I put a line through LIBERTUS was its jockey. I think inexperience probably told there, tbh. With a professional jockey riding, may well have won. Not quite sure why they got TJ to ride as gelding doesn't look badly handicapped. |
